What Precautions Are Necessary Before Detaching the A/C Hose on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?

Be certain to unplug the negative battery cable and remove the refrigerant from the system before touching the AC condenser. Followed by this, take off the radiator closure panel and the front fascia. Remove the retaining pins from the radiator end air seal on the A/C condenser and take off the air seal. Then, take out the nut that holds the A/C discharge line to the right side of the A/C condenser and unhook the A/C discharge line from the condenser, throwing away the old O-ring seal and gasket. Loosen and remove the nut connecting the A/C discharge line to the A/C compressor and then unplug the A/C discharge line from the compressor, replacing the O-ring seal and gasket as before. After that, plug into or cover the fittings at the discharge line with plugs and cover the condenser and compressor ports the same way.
