2007 Dodge Nitro A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the A/C Hose and Adjust Refrigerant Oil Levels on 2007 Dodge Nitro?
A: Adjusting the refrigerant oil level is necessary during A/C service to ensure the compressor does not operate wrongly and remain unharmed. Whenever replacing parts of your A/C, review the Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart to grasp the right amount of oil you should add. Repair shop staff must replace the O-ring seals and gaskets whenever they open a refrigerant line to prevent leaks. First, open all refrigerant line fittings, take off any tape or plugs from them and resume the same with the condenser and expansion valve ports. Coat new rubber seals with clean refrigerant oil and put the right O-rings from the R-134a system onto the line fittings. Bring the A/C liquid line (1) to the side of the condenser tube (2) and attach it with the secondary retaining clip. Put the A/C liquid line (5) into the two right inner fender clips (6) and then connect it directly to the A/C suction line (4). Also, fasten both the A/C liquid and suction lines to the A/C expansion valve (3) and use an aluminum tool to tighten the retaining nut (2) at 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). If the A/C pressure transducer (1) was removed, return it to the A/C liquid line and join the wire harness to it. Once you have completed your tasks, attach the air cleaner case and then finish by linking the negative battery cable. Pump out the refrigerant within the system, calculate the oil level and charge the refrigeration system after that.
