2007 Dodge Nitro A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an A/C Condenser on 2007 Dodge Nitro?
A: Before removing the A/C condenser, first remove the negative battery cable and then drain out the refrigerant. Then, take out the engine air cleaner housing and the secondary retaining clip and unhook the A/C liquid's connection from the condenser tube using the proper A/C line disconnect tool in the Special Tool Kit 7193 or its equivalent. Disconnect the grille and, if you have an automatic gearbox, remove the cooler lines from the trans. cooler section of the A/C condenser. Take the right side condenser air seal out of the way and turn and tilt the A/C discharge line a little to open up the condenser retaining bolt. Extricate the nut holding the A/C discharge line to the A/C condenser and free the discharge line. Release the two bolts on the left of the radiator that hold the A/C condenser in place and directly lift up the condensing unit to free the A/C condenser from the joining brackets. Whenever required, pull out the A/C condenser receiver/drier, dispose of the seals and gaskets, insert plugs into the opened refrigerant line fittings and tape over the ports at the condenser and receiver/ drier.
