The first thing to do is to take out the HVAC housing assembly and put it on a workbench before you open it and disassemble the housing. If the covering around the A/C evaporator is not in good shape, the foam must be replaced. Lift the A/C evaporator and foam insulator slowly out of the bottom part of the HVAC case. Should you need to, remove the seal from around the evaporator tubes and make certain that any damaged or different seals are replaced.
