2009 Dodge Dakota Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove the Brake Master Cylinder on 2009 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before you remove the brake master cylinder, press the brake pedal five times to get rid of vacuum inside the booster unit. After that, remove the fluid from the reservoir and then detach the connector for the low fluid level. Putting something under the master cylinder outlet port will stop the brake fluid from harming your vehicle. After that, take out the brake lines attached to the master cylinder and then eliminate the four nuts that were mounting the master cylinder. Lastly, move the master cylinder and reservoir slowly away from the booster so that, as the master cylinder is removed, the master cylinder stays in line with the front of the booster and you avoid any problems with moving the booster's output rod.
