You should make sure all fitting clips are in their places before installing the brake pads in the front. In the anti-rattle clips, attach the inboard (6) and outboard (4) brake pads to the adapter (5). If you can, take off the thin paper covering the noise suppression gasket on the rear of both brake shoes. If you have to retract the brake system piston(s), be sure the reservoir contains a proper level of brake fluid. Carefully pull the piston far back into the caliper bore, making sure not to harm the caliper guide pin boots as you assemble the caliper with the disc brake adapter. Place the disc brake caliper over the top of the brake pads on the adapter. Tighten the guide pin bolt near the bleeder screw first and only then tighten the other guide pin bolt. Guide the caliper by putting the guide pins into the guide pin bolt holes and screw in the bolts (4). Tighten the upper bolt to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.) and the lower bolt to the same tightness. Set the wheel and tire in place (1) and screw on the wheel mounting nuts (3) to a tightness of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Drop the car so the brake shoe touches the caliper and brake rotor, pump the brake pedal to apply the brake shoes to these parts and check and add brake fluid as it is needed. After that, test the vehicle, making stops along the way to help get rid of anything that may have stuck on the brakes and to secure the brake shoes.
