How to Maintain and Fix the Hood Cable on Chrysler Crossfire?

Before working on the hood cable, first make sure to open the hood and keep it up by securing it. Release the screw on the pull handle, then lift out the handle from the arresting mechanism in the cover and free the hood cable from the handle. Also, grab the cable grommet under the fuse box and pull out the upper frame cross member as well as the clip attached to the frame cross member. First, take off the cover and release the hood latch, then pull the hood cable from beneath the headlamp and above the upper frame cross member. Before installation, make sure the hood cable is routed correctly. First, put the cable from the hood between the headlamp and the cross member above and then install both the hood latch and the cover. Fit the clip onto the upper frame cross member and the frame cross member again. Pull out the cable to where the wire on the grommet meets the hood cable, then push the grommet into the bulkhead under the fuse box. Attach the handle to the arresting mechanism within the cover and cable the hood release handle to the cable, before tightening the screw. Make sure the hood works properly after closing it.

How to Install the Hood Cable on Chrysler Town & Country?

Insert the cable through the hole in the cowl panel and then align the release handle with its end, then screw the cable in place. Include or press the grommet firmly into the hole. Then, mount the cable onto the body and after that, put the support clips over the upper radiator crossmember. After that, add the upper radiator crossmember.
