First, uninstall the transmission, next remove the bolts that secure the flex plate (2), then remove the backing plate (3) and the flex plate (1). Begin your installation by putting the flex plate (1) and backing plate (3) back into place, adding Mopar Lock & Seal Adhesive to the bolts and tightening all bolts (2) just a little bit. Seal the transmission into position by tightening the bolts (2) on the flex plate to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
