How to Install a Blend Door Actuator on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Place the recirculation door actuator where it should go in the vehicle and hold it in place on the HVAC air inlet housing. Should it be needed, rotate the actuator just a bit until the splines on the output shaft are aligned with those on the door pivot shaft. Fix the three screws provided to hold the recirculation door actuator in place on the HVAC air inlet by turning each to 2 Nm (17 in.lbs.). Join the HVAC wire harness connector to the actuator for the recirculation door, place the glove compartment into the instrument panel and reattach the negative battery cable.

How to Install a Blend Door Actuator on Jeep Wrangler?

Set the recirculation door actuator on the right of the HVAC air inlet panel and link the instrument panel wire harness to the actuator. Screw the actuator onto the air inlet housing, making sure the splines on the actuator output shaft match the ones on the pivot shaft adapter of the recirculation door. Place the two screws that fasten the recirculation door actuator to the air inlet housing and tighten them to 1.2 Nm (10 in. lbs.). Make sure the wire harness plug is secure on the end of the recirculation door actuator. After that, add the speaker to the passenger side of the instrument panel, set up the glove box and finally, fasten the negative battery cable.
