Before attaching the starter motor, match the solenoid wire with the starter, ensuring it's pushed on tightly. After that, attach the battery cable to the solenoid stud, slip in the battery cable eyelet nut and tighten it to 19 ft. lbs. (25 Nm) so that the starter motor is not loose from the wire harness. Following that, mount the starter motor onto the transmission. If your vehicle has an automatic transmission, slip the cooler tube bracket into place. Both bolts have to be set firmly by installing them and tightening to 50 ft. lbs. (68 Nm). For vehicles with 4WD and some equipped transmissions, install 2 support bracket bolts at the transmission and install the front drive shaft when needed. After that, lower the car and attach the negative battery cable.

After that, drop the vehicle again and attach the negative cable of the battery.
