Following this, take off the cable core from the pedal arm and unclip the cable on the dash panel. Pull the metal housing into the engine section and unclip the cable that is on the valve cover. Disconnect the cable at the throttle body bellcrank ball by snapping it backward, then squeeze the release tabs to remove the cable from the bracket and take it inside the vehicle. Connect the cable ball to the throttle body bellcrank ball and slide the throttle cable up into the hole of the bracket until the release tabs lock in place. Hook the cable into its clips on the engine valve cover, move the rubber grommet back from the cable sheath and then place it into the dashboard panel until it snaps into place. Raise the cable up through the hole in the dash panel by pushing the cable housing into the grommet and install the clip holding it from within the car. Insert the cable core wire into the hole at the pedal end and push the clip inside so it snaps in. Slightly squeeze the tabs on either side of the cable housing at the dash panel to remove the assembly and move it into the engine compartment. Next, take out the cable from the clip guides on the top of the engine cylinder head. To unhook the throttle cable ball from the pin, slide the ball toward the rear and squeeze the edges of the release tabs to remove the cable from the bracket. Once the old throttle cable is removed, put the new cable through the hole in the throttle body bracket, slide the retainer tabs into place until they are locked and attach the cable ball end to the other end of the linkage. Slide the cable clip over the cable and attach it to the cover on the engine cylinder head. Then pass the other part of the cable through the dash opening and have its retaining tabs lock into the panel. Make sure the index tab matches its opening inside the accelerator pedal arm by slowly sliding the wire into the slot at the top. Rotate the cable retainer up until it snaps onto the index tab that's located inside the pedal arm opening. Before you start your car, push the accelerator lightly to make sure there is no binding.
