In order to replace the washer pump/motor on the front, you should first unhook and isolate the negative battery cable. Take the washer supply hose from the barbed outlet on the front pump/motor unit and pour the washer fluid into a separate container. After that, take out the washer pump/motor connector from the headlamp wire and dash wire harness. Take care not to drag the tool across the inside of the reservoir, since it could damage it, when using a trim stick or suitable wide flat-bladed tool to gently lift the barbed pump nipple from the grommet seal in the front. Pull the front washer pump/motor unit out of the
Washer Reservoir and throw away the seal located at the mounting hole. Before installing, put a new rubber grommet seal in the mounting hole of the washer reservoir, fit the front washer pump/motor unit inlet nipple to the horn and gently push the barbed nipple through the seal into the washer reservoir, again being sure not to scratch the reservoir. Connect the headlamp and dash wire harness connector to the washer pump/motor connector receptacle and screw the washer supply hose onto the barbed outlet nipple of the front washer pump/motor unit. Carefully add the fluid you drained into the washer reservoir and then put back the negative terminal of the battery.
