2000 Dodge Durango A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose on 2000 Dodge Durango?
A: Before you change the A/C discharge hose/line, cut off the battery negative cable, block any further connection and remove the refrigerant from the system. Unplug the wire harness connector from the high pressure cut-off switch and take out the refrigerant line couplers built into the condenser and the jumper hose. Afterward, install stoppers in or stuff the lines with tape. Take off the fastener holding the refrigerant line support to the compressor, the screw connecting the refrigerant manifold to the compressor and the assembly connecting both refrigerant lines to the vehicle. At the installation step, remove the refrigerant line plugs and tape, attach the condensers and fit the couplers along the suction line jumper. After that, fit the refrigerant line manifold onto the compressor, install the mounting screw to 22 Nm (200 inches of force) and attach the nut that holds the line support bracket in place above the compressor. Place the end of the wire harness onto the high pressure cut-off switch, bring back the negative battery cable, clear out the system of refrigerant and put in the chosen amount of refrigerant.
