2005 Chrysler Crossfire Knock Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Knock Sensor in an Engine on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Removing the intake manifold from the engine is the first thing you need to do to service the knock sensor. First, separate the wire harness connectors at the knock sensors and afterwards remove the bolts to allow the knock sensors to come out of the engine block. Torquing the knock sensor bolt to a higher value than other sensors is necessary, as the wrong value can result in driveability problems. Set the knock sensors over the engine block and fasten them with the retaining bolts, each bolt should be tightened to 20 N.m (15 ft. lbs.). After that, secure the intake manifold and link together all the wire harness connectors.
