Before handling the ambient temperature sensor, disconnect and remove the negative terminal of the batter,. The ambient temperature sensor is just behind the grille on the right side of the radiator yoke; use pliers to pull out the wire harness connector from its plug on the sensor. Unscrew the screw that links the sensor bracket to the radiator yoke and then pull out the ambient temperature sensor. For installation, install the sensor onto the radiator yoke and tighten the screw to 5.6 Nm (50 in. lbs.). After that, plug the wire harness connector into the ambient temperature sensor and link the negative battery cable back to its container.
