2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ambient Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service an Ambient Temperature Sensor on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: When dealing with the ambient temperature sensor, first disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Pull off the grille and take out the wire from the ambient air temperature sensor which is mounted at the top end of the front bumper beam. Pull the ambient air temperature sensor off the retaining tabs 4 and remove it. Set the ambient air temperature sensor 2 over the front bumper beam 3, so that the head of the retaining tabs 4 can fit into the slots in the bumper beam. Join connector 1 to the ambient air temperature sensor, secure the grille into place and then attach the negative battery cable again.
