2006 Jeep Liberty Blower Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Blower Motor on 2006 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before working on the blower motor, turn off the air bag system on vehicles that have one by removing and isolating the negative battery cable and waiting two minutes. You can remove the blower motor on the passenger side under the instrument panel and you don't have to open the instrument or the HVAC housing. Remove the negative battery cable and the wire harness lead from the blower motor connector 4 first. Lift locking tab 3 to take the blower motor out of its position and turn it counterclockwise to detach it from the HVAC housing 1. Move and rotate the blower motor up and down to disconnect it, along with the wheel from the HVAC housing. Set and fasten blower motor 2 into the main HVAC housing 1 using the locking tab 3. Clamp the wire harness lead to blower motor connector 4, put the negative battery back in its place, speed up the blower motor to maximum and check for air leaks all around the blower motor and its housing; should any be found, replace and reinstall the blower motor.
