2007 Chrysler Pacifica Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Wheel Speed Sensor Correctly on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Apply some bearing grease that comes with the sensor part to the sensor head shaft and O-ring. Then, before installing, ensure the mounting surface of the bearing is clean. After that, place the sensor head into the mounting hole in the hub and bearing and position the mounting screw hole. Place a new mounting screw and turn it 6 Nm (55 in. lbs.) tight. Fit the cable grommet onto the routing clip which is at the knuckle and secure it in place or push the routing clip on the cable into the mounting hole in the knuckle. Fix the wheel speed sensor routing bracket to the strut assembly and tighten the screw to 13 Nm (115 in. lbs.). Clip the wheel speed sensor connector and its routing clip to the outer reinforcement of the frame rail and then attach the vehicle wiring harness to the wheel speed sensor connector. Start by setting in place the brake rotor and all related parts and confirm that the wheel speed sensor cable is not touching the rotor or any other moving part. For the last step, drive the car at low speeds and check that both the base brakes and ABS are working properly.
