2007 Chrysler Pacifica Parking Brake Shoe Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove Parking Brake Shoes on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Gently push the parking brake lever up, reaching past where the ratchet is for the automatic adjuster, to fix the brake in its highest spot. After that, hold up and support the vehicle to reach and remove the rear hub and bearing. After that, disconnect the bolt at the knuckle (1) that holds the parking brake cable and completely relieve the pressure on the brake cushion by backing it off. Following this, unscrew the parking brake shoe adjuster spring (3) and take out the shoe adjuster (8). Following this, remove upper brake shoe hold-down clip 7 plus pin 7 as well as lower brake shoe hold-down clip 7 plus pin 7. Afterward, take out the upper and lower shoes (6) and the return spring (4) from the shoe actuator and then separate the return spring (4) from the shoes (6).
