2007 Chrysler Pacifica Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Rear Brake Disc on 2007 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: The first thing to do is to raise and secure the vehicle before proceeding with brake replacement. After that, remove all the three wheel mounting nuts and take the tire and wheel off the car. In a few cases, you may need to pull the rear of the caliper toward the outer side of the vehicle slightly, so there is room to release the guide pins; avoid exerting pressure on the piston itself. Afterward, lose the guide pin bolts on the caliper and pull the assembly off the brake adapter by twisting the caliper from the rotating disc and removing it from the top of the abutment. While you remove the brake caliper from the mount, use wire or cord to hang it and stop it from getting damaged. At this point, you should get rid of the clips securing the brake rotor to the wheel mounting studs and remove the rotor from the hub and bearing.
