How to Safely Service the A/C Switch to Prevent Accidental Airbag Deployment on 2007 Dodge Nitro?

Before starting your service, you should unplug and isolate the negative battery cable, then wait for two minutes so the air bag system should discharge, to avoid personal injury or death if you switched on the engine by accident. Disconnect the negative cable before you start anything else. After that, take out the center bezel from the screen and set it down on a worktable. After that, get rid of the four screws connecting the A/C-heater control to the center bezel of the instrument panel and remove the control.
