Take bolt (1) and attach the parking brake cable to the knuckle of the rack by tightening it to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Take off the parking brake drum and place the Brake Shoe Gauge, Special Tool C-3919 or equivalent measuring device, (1) over the shoes at the widest point to find the inside diameter. With the adjuster star wheel (2), make the parking brake linings match the jaws on gauge (1) for a first adjustment. Until the vehicle is lowered, install the hub, bearing, wheel speed sensor and all necessary pieces. Turn the automatic adjuster in the parking brake lever, then perform the last adjustment of the parking brake shoes.
