While maintaining the fuel pump module, you should always put in a new rubber O-ring seal. Install the new O-ring seal first, then place in the fuel pump module. Check it has space to make the connections. Attach all five hoses to the module: two large return lines, the fuel supply line, the smaller lower connector and the two electrical connectors. Assemble the upper and lower half of the fuel pump module and then set it in the fuel tank so the arrow at the top is straight to mark its place correctly. Lay the rubber O-ring seal around the frame and drop the module into place. Then cover the module with the lock-ring. Spin the module until the embossed alignment arrow is lined up with the center mark, as directed when uninstalling, to keep the float away from the tank wall. Using a 9340 lock-ring remover/installer (1), attached to a 1/2-inch breaker bar, turn the ring clockwise until you hear all seven notches lock. Join the electrical connector (1) to the fuel pump module, add the rubber access plug and slide the foam pad back on its place. After that, push the pin lug of the last connection down and back in its groove, reconnect the battery cable negative end and fill the fuel tank with the recommended fuel.
