Have your engine oil changed at the osyled times and distances listed in the Maintenance Schedule. Since engine oil may irritate your skin, avoid keeping your hands on your skin for any extended period. Used oil can be unsafe for your health, so you should wash any skin that touched it with soap and water and avoid cleaning skin with fuel, thinner or solvents. Contact your dealer or your local government institution to find out where you can properly take your used engine oil for disposal. Allow the car's engine to heat up normally, position it on a flat space and turn it off after you stop it. Gently open the hood and take off the engine oil cap. Put the vehicle on a hoist and make sure a drain pan is underneath the crankcase drain. Pull out the drain plug from the crankcase and let the oil run into the oil pan, watching for signs of damage or a stretched thread on the plug; if either is the case, change the drain plug and the gasket. Remove the oil filter then place the drain plug inside the crankcase, turning it to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). Set a new oil filter, place the vehicle on the ground, add the correct oil to the crankcase and then close the oil fill cap. After starting the engine, look for signs of leakage and when you stop, check the oil level. Cars have a good quality, throwaway oil filter and you should replace it with a Mopar filter or a similar type. It's important to handle used engine oil properly after you drain it from your engine.
