Attach the clutch plate assembly to the shaft and then use feeler gauges to check that the air gap between the clutch plate and the pulley face is between 0.35 and 0.65 millimeter (0.014 and 0.026 inch). Shim one side of the cylinder until you get the right air gap. At the end, place the compressor shaft bolt, tighten to 13 Nm (115 in. lbs.), check the air gap in several places after tightening and lastly, spin the pulley to finish the installation after checking the air gap one more time.
