How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Unclip the air cleaner tube at the throttle body and then disconnect the electricity connectors at the IAC motor and TPS before servicing and repairing the throttle body. Remove all the cables from the throttle body lever arm and separate the needed vacuum lines as well. Now remove the three bolts that connect the throttle body to the intake manifold and get the throttle body out, examining the old O-ring between the throttle body and the intake manifold. When installing, look at the O-ring on the throttle body-to-intake manifold and swap it if it looks worn or damaged. Spray and wipe the mating surfaces of these air setup parts, put in the new O-ring and then fit the throttle body onto the intake manifold. Firm up the seat by bolting it down with 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.) torque. Reconnect the airflow hoses, electrical parts and cables and put in the air plenum.
