How to Install and Secure a Wiper Motor on Jeep Wrangler?

Fit the unit containing the front wiper module into the cowl plenum and then attach the rubber isolator with the knob into the slot found in the cowl plenum's front wall. Fasten the ends of the front wiper module bracket to the cowl plenum by mounting and tightening the two screws to 9.5 Nm (85 in. lbs.). Attach the wire harness connector back to the receptacle for the front wiper motor. Afterwards, replace the cowl plenum cover/grille panel on top of the front wiper module. Turn the ignition switch to ON and the front wiper switch ON and OFF a couple of times. This will help the wiper motor and linkage reach their natural park spot before reattaching the front wiper arms. To finish, thread the cable between the battery bolt and the chassis again.

How to Maintain a Wiper Motor on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Before servicing the front wiper motor, make sure the battery's negative cable is pulled loose. Pull out the front wiper module from inside the cowl plenum and set it on some sort of support. Using two large screwdrivers, force the socket bushing away from the ball at the end of the wiper motor crank arm. Remove the sleeve from the other side in the same way using your two screwdrivers on the ball stud of the wiper motor crank arm. Bring the wiper motor crank arm into a parallel position with the wiper motor armature by turning it with large channel-lock pliers so that the ball stud on the crank arm is farthest from the motor. Secure the wiper mount bracket by removing the three screws attaching the motor to it. Now detach the motor along with the wiper arm from the removed screws.
