You should disconnect and isolate the car's negative battery cable before handling any air bag part, wait for two minutes for its capacitor to discharge and then begin. After that, lift out the A/C housing and unscrew the blend door actuator that sits at the top of the HVAC housing, then pull out the actuator. Put the new blend door actuator in position and hold it there with screws, turning them to 2.4 ± 0.34 Nm (21 ± 3 in. lbs.). After that, fit the housing back into position, link the electrical connector of the blend door actuator from the wiring harness to the glove box and connect the negative cable to the battery.
