  A: Start by disconnecting and isolating the air bag battery's negative cable and then wait two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge. Start by opening up the glove box to reach the blower motor resistor. Pull the lock out from the blower motor resistor wire harness connector, then push on the latch to pull the connector away from the resistor. Secure the housing and take out the two screws that connect the resistor with the HVAC housing. After putting the new resistor inside the HVAC housing, fix it in place with the two screws, each to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) tension. Attach the blower motor harness connector, insert the lock into place on the connector, shut the glove box and lastly reconnect the battery negative cable.
