2005 Dodge Dakota Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2005 Dodge Dakota?
A: You'll find the IMT sensor on the left side of the intake manifold plenum. Connectivity to the IMT sensor is broken by disconnecting the electrical connector. Before moving the sensor, remove any dirt from the intake manifold near the sensor base. Lift the small plastic release tab, rotate the sensor to the left by about a quarter turn and it will come free. Look over the state of the O-ring of the sensor. Before installation, inspect the sensor O-ring and wipe out any debris from the intake manifold's sensor hole. Put the sensor into the intake manifold and turn it clockwise until it gets past the release tab and after that, attach the electrical connector.
