2006 Chrysler Pacifica A/C Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Calibrate the A/C Switch After Replacing an Actuator Motor or A/C-Heater Control on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: When an actuator motor or A/C-heater control gets replaced or you have rear HVAC, the A/C-heater control module should always be recalibrated. Start by switching the ignition on to the On position first. If your vehicle has the manual temperature control, keep the Power and Recirculation buttons pressed for at least five seconds. People with automatic temperature control should simultaneously hold down the Power and Recirculation buttons for at least five seconds. As soon as the A/C calibration starts, the LED on the MTC AC-heater Power button and the Recirculation button LED will blink or the same flashing symbols will show up on the ATC control panel. It should only take two minutes to calibrate manual systems and about twenty seconds for ATC systems. Should the LEDs or graphics display beyond the specified periods, that indicates an error has been found and a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been stored which calls for more checks. The calibration indication on the display will appear indefinitely until a successful work is done or, in other words, until you've driven about 8 miles or 13 kilometers.
