2007 Jeep Commander A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove the A/C Condenser on 2007 Jeep Commander?
A: First, detach and place out of reach the negative battery cable and only afterwards, process the refrigerant system. After that, take out the grille, air filter housing and air inlet tube without removing the hood latch from the radiator crossmember. After that, extract the upper radiator crossmember and support bracket and put them someplace they will not block your progress. Unhook the automatic transmission cooler tubes from the cooler of the transmission fluid, plug the connections on the automatic transmission lines and tape or cap the fluid cooler tubes. After that, detach the A/C discharge line from the condenser, remove the screw that secures the receiver/drier to the radiator and fan shroud and disconnect the inlet tube from the condenser. Then, take out the four bolts holding the A/C condenser to the radiator and lift the condenser up and out straight from the engine compartment.
