Please use only Mopar® ATF+4 fluid for the transmission, change the filter at the oil change time and clean the magnet in the oil pan with a clean, dry cloth. Should the transaxle be disassembled, the fluid and filter should be replaced. Before performing the fluid and filter service, raise your vehicle on a hoist and place a drain container below the transaxle oil pan. Unfasten the pan bolts and hit one corner of the pan to dislodge it, so fluid will flow out before you remove it. Install fresh filters and O-ring on the bottom of the valve body, rinse the oil pan and magnet with soap and water and reattach the pan using Mopar Silicone Adhesive tightly binding it with 19 Nm (165 in. lbs.). Put four quarts of Mopar® ATF+4 into the barrel with the dipstick, turn on the engine and let it run idle for a full minute. After putting both your foot brakes on, gently change the selector to each gear before returning it to park or neutral. Ensure the transaxle fluid level is at 3 mm (1/8 in.) below the lowest index on the dipstick and then recheck it when the transaxle cools back down to the normal 82°C (180°F). Make sure the dipstick is all the way down before you remove it, to stop dirt from getting into the transaxle. To use the dipstick tube fluid suction, check that the transaxle is fully heated up, pick the right vacuum suction device, lower the suction line into the dipstick tube until it's touching the lowest part of the transaxle oil pan for all the fluid to be absorbed. After taking out the suction line, add four quarts of Mopar® ATF+4 through the dipstick, start the engine and use the dipstick to check and adjust the fluid as you did before.
