Begin with installing the throttle body gasket, then put in the throttle body and its bolts, always tightening the bolts to 11.9 Nm (105 in. lbs.) when installing. Following, link the electric connections and the vacuum tubes and lastly fit the inlet hose and clamp it in place. Attach the negative cable back to the battery. A Scan Tool is used for learning electrical parameters by choosing ETC Relearn from the Miscellaneous menu or else a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set. Before beginning any work on or inside the throttle body, remove the negative battery cable. Afterward, separate the air cleaner housing and the Mass Air Flow sensor and their intake tube. Disconnect the tube from the crankcase that runs to the intake and take out the connector from the throttle body harness. Using a wrench, take out the four bolts on the throttle body, remove the old 0-ring and discard both. To install the throttle body, secure a 0-ring on it and use 9 N.m (80 in lbs.) of torque when you attach it to the intake. Attach the throttle body harness connector, slide in the crankcase vent tube and then fit both the Mass Air Flow sensor and air cleaner housing. The last step is to reconnect the negative battery cable.
