First, stop the air bag system by removing and isolating the negative battery cable, next wait for at least two minutes so that the capacitor inside the air bag discharges. Give the blower motor resistors five minutes to cool if you have just turned off the blower motor because they can become very hot while it is on. Then, get to the passenger side of the instrument panel and take the connector from the blower motor resistor off of the HVAC wire harness. Afterward, remove the two screws connecting the blower motor resistor to the housing and take it out.

How to Remove a Blower Motor Resistor on Dodge Challenger?

Before removing the blower motor resistor, cut off the air bag system by disconnecting and setting aside the battery's negative cable and give it about two minutes to discharge.
