How is a Vapor Canister Removed and Installed on Dodge Ram 1500?

You will find two EVAP canisters under a bracket on the right frame rail at the rear of the cab. Before you take out the canisters, disconnect all the fuel tubes/lines from each canister and make a note of their locations. After that, remove the nuts hold the canisters to the mounting bracket and lift each canister off the bracket. These units are installed by fixing each canister on the bracket and securing them with nuts to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.) torque. Once your canisters are clean, put back the fuel tubes/lines.
