How to Install a Water Pump on a 3.5L Engine on Dodge Challenger?

Before adding the water pump to a 3.5L engine, clean every O-ring surface on the front cover. Set the water pump, O-ring and large end of the pipe onto the engine and attach it with all three bolts, tightening each one to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Following this, place the timing belt and all of the necessary accessory drive belts. Once you recharge the cooling system, go ahead and check it for leaks.

How to Install a Water Pump on a 3.7L/4.7L Engine on Dodge Ram 1500?

Before installing the water pump on these engines, make sure to clean the gasket areas first. After that, install a new gasket, fit the water pump and secure it with the mounting bolts, tightening them to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.). Make certain the pump impeller spins without making contact with the timing chain case/cover. After that, connect the radiator lower hose to the water pump, put on the accessory drive belt tensioner and fit the drive belt. Then, add the radiator fan, put coolant in the system and link the negative battery cable afterward. Lastly, begin to heat the engine and look for any oil leaks.
