How to Service and Repair a Blend Door Actuator on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

Before checking or fixing a Blend Door Actuator, turn off the air bag system by temporarily disconnecting the negative battery cable on a vehicle, giving it two minutes to discharge. First, press the ignition key to On and make the A/C heater control midway. Then, let the car sit for 10 seconds. After you have taken out the instrument panel and undone the three holding screws up top, make note of the shaft position of the blend door actuator for installation. Gently take out the blend door actuator from inside the HVAC housing. To install the blend door actuator, position it on top of the HVAC housing so the actuator spline fits with the door spline, put in the three screws and tighten them to 2 N.m (17 in.lbs.). Place in the instrument panel and complete the A/C-Heater Control Calibration process.
