The windshield washer reservoir should be serviced and repaired by first disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable. Lift the air cleaner housing out from the top of the left front fender wheel house. On the top of the left fender wheel house, detach the two washer reservoir hoses from the engine compartment washer hoses. Lift the washer reservoir filler cap and take out the filler cap hinge from the hook on the filler. Release the screw holding the washer reservoir filler neck to the fender shield beneath the left inner part of the car. Next, raise and support the vehicle and pull out the liner covering the left front fender wheel house. Separate the headlamp and dash wire harnesses from the two
Washer Pump/motor units by removing the two connectors from the pump/motor receptacles. Take out the two screws holding the washer reservoir flange inside the left inner wheel house on the front of the car. Lift the washer fluid reservoir at its bottom and pull it rearward to reach the left headlamp and dash wire harness connector for the washer fluid level switch on the front of the reservoir, then unplug it from the connector. Move the bottom of the washer reservoir back to release the outboard mount tab from the hole in front of the left inner fender shield. Swivel the washer bottle, lift the front suspension and bring down the reservoir to release the filler neck from the hole in the left front wheel house extension before you take out the bottle. For installation, set the washer reservoir into the left front fender wheel house, feed the filler neck up through the hole in the left front fender
Wheelhouse extension above the engine and twist the reservoir to place the inward mounting flange over the front suspension. Pull the bottom of the washer reservoir toward the back to line up its mounting tab with the mounting slot in the left front inner fender shield. Then, at the front of the reservoir, reconnect the washer fluid level switch connector and the left headlamp and dash wire harness. Tighten the two left inboard screws of the washer reservoir to 7.4 Nm (66 in. lbs.) and plug the two wire harness connectors for the washer pumps/motors back into the dash and lamp harnesses. After placing the liner back into the left front fender wheel house, lower the vehicle, attach the washer reservoir filler neck to the left inner fender shield and tighten the screw to 7.4 Nm (66 in. lbs.). Place the washer reservoir filler cap hinge on the hook of the filler neck, secure the cap and attach the two reservoir hoses to the engine compartment hoses at their inline connectors on the top of the left front fender wheel house. Replace the air cleaner housing at the top of the left front fender wheel house and hook up the battery negative cable once more.
