First, cut off the negative battery cable to prevent harm to yourself or to the electrical system. After that, take out the generator drive belt. First, remove the protective plastic cover from the B+ mounting stud, next remove the nut that holds the B+ terminal and take off the B+ terminal you see at the back of the generator. Press the tab on the field wire electrical connector to pull it out of the car. In the end, remove all the mounting bolts and carefully take the generator out of the engine compartment.
