Disconnect or remove the parking brake shoe adjuster. Take away the parking brake shoe adjuster spring and, next, the shoe adjuster. Delete the hook holding the upper brake shoe and remove the upper shoe from the return spring and lever. Open the lower shoe, take out the spring and free the end of the cable by releasing the actuator lever. Afterward, remove the clip and pin from the lower brake shoe hold-down and take out the lower brake shoe. Look for signs of wear or damage on the springs, adjuster, lever and aluminum shoe anchor pin and replace them if they are broken.
