How to Service and Repair a Brake Light Switch on Dodge Charger?

Start by depressing and holding the brake pedal to service and repair the brake light switch. After that, rotate the stop lamp switch counterclockwise about thirty degrees from its proper spot on the brake pedal assembly, then pull it toward the back to take it off the mount. Take out the battery connectors (2) from the switch.

How to Service and Repair a Brake Light Switch on Dodge Ram 1500?

The first thing to do when repairing the Brake Light Switch is to unhook the switch harness. With the brake pedal down, move the switch about 300 degrees counterclockwise until you see the switch lock tab aligned with the bracket's notch, then easily pull the switch rearward and out of the bracket before letting go of the brake pedal. Before fitting a switch, press the brake pedal and position its tab into the switch bracket's notch. Insert the switch and then tighten it by turning about 30 degrees to lock it in. Following that, have the harness wires attached to the switch as you lift the brake pedal clear. Press the release lever alongside the connector to move the switch plunger into place and finish making the adjustment, as it cannot be changed anymore.

The first thing to do when repairing the Brake Light Switch is to unhook the switch harness. With the brake pedal down, move the switch about 300 degrees counterclockwise until you see the switch lock tab aligned with the bracket's notch, then easily pull the switch rearward and out of the bracket before letting go of the brake pedal. Before fitting a switch, press the brake pedal and position its tab into the switch bracket's notch. Insert the switch and then tighten it by turning about 30 degrees to lock it in. Following that, have the harness wires attached to the switch as you lift the brake pedal clear. Press the release lever alongside the connector to move the switch plunger into place and finish making the adjustment, as it cannot be changed anymore.
