How to Maintain and Fix a Brake Booster on Dodge Charger?

Turn the chair all the way to the back before removing the battery negative cable from the battery post. After that, take out the windshield wiper module and the master cylinder. Should the vehicle come with both MK25 and ESP, remove the wiring harness connector at both the pedal sensor in the power brake booster and the active solenoid. Take the hose off the check valve at its location on the booster without unscrewing the check valve. First, remove the brake lamp switch and then use a small screwdriver to detach the booster push rod. Put the screwdriver between the center tang and the brake pedal pin, turn it so the center tang goes over the brake pedal pin and slowly slide the retaining clip off. Do not use the original retaining clip and install another when the assembly begins. Slip the push rod free from the brake pedal pin, remove the screws holding the booster in place and slide the booster out front through the area where the crossbrace and the windshield meet.

After that, disconnect the vacuum line from the booster and take off the clip holding the booster push rod to the brake pedal. After that, remove the nuts from the booster mounting studs and then take out the booster and gasket secured to the front cowl panel.
