When servicing and repairing the seat belt, first look at the seat belt, buckles, retractors, tether straps and anchors to ensure they have proper installation, regular workings or are not damaged, restoring cut or frayed seat belts, fixing twisted or disconnected seat belts, tightening loose fasteners and replacing any worn or broken buckle, retractor, latch plate or anchor plate with DaimlerChrysler Mopar Parts Catalog sets. Black, keyed, lower anchor buckles are attached to the front right center seat section in regular cab trucks, whereas quad and mega cab trucks have a front center seat lap belt on that same side. To unbuckle the front center belt, seat back or anchor, push the seat to its t furthest point and tilt the seat back to make reaching the lower anchor easier. Removing the stowage tray from the rear floor panel, just behind the seat, is necessary for standard cab vehicles. After that, reach over the front seat to take off the screw holding the lower anchor to the center seat support bracket. Go in from the side cushion of the center seat to the front outboard seat to pull the seat belt buckle through the elastic band on the center cushion. Next, uninstall the front center's seat belt buckle, lap belt or anchor buckle unit.
